1. Marius Petersen blev født den 7 okt. 1879 i Mosegaarde, Balslev, Odense; døde den 13 maj 1949 i Reno, Washoe, Nevada, USA. Notater:
Marius learned the masonry trade at an early age. He moved his family to Transvaal, South Africa in 1903 and helped with the reconstruction work going on there during the Boer War. He came to Nevada in 1906 where he was joint owner for a few years with the Madsen family in the Washoe Wood and Coal Company and thereafter a partner in the Smith-Petersen Rock and Sand Company. He was married to Emma Dorthea Hansen and they had four children. He later married Manne Schwarz and they had one son.
Marius blev gift med Emma Dorthea Hansen den 4 sep. 1902 i Middelfart Sogn, Vends Herred, Odense Amt. Emma (datter af Rasmus Hansen og Anne Margrethe Nielsen) blev født den 3 dec. 1878 i Fjeldsted Sogn, Vends Herred, Odense Amt; døde den 24 maj 1957 i Meadow Vista, Placer, California, USA.
